The matter pertains to a slum located in a goods warehouse in the city police station area. The injured constable has been identified as Rajnandan Kumar posted in the Excise Department. Injured Havildar Rajnandan Kumar has told that secret information was received about selling of liquor. On the basis of this information, the police team had gone to raid the slum located in the goods warehouse. As soon as the raid operation was started by the police, the liquor mafia attacked the police team.
Seeing the stone pelting, all the policemen ran away
The injured constable has told that after seeing the stone pelting, all the policemen ran away from the spot. Whereas we were surrounded from all sides by the liquor mafia, beaten with sticks, bricks and stones and seriously injured. More than 80 miscreants attacked the liquor mafia police team with bricks, stones and sticks. He told that in his injured condition he had to somehow escape from the place and save his life. At present the excise police team is investigating the entire matter. At the same time, people say that the manner in which the liquor mafia attacked the police team clearly shows that the fear of the police has now ended among the liquor mafia.
