The auto crushed the grandson who was going to the marriage ceremony with his grandfather in Jamui, due to which he died. The incident took place near the Katauna petrol pump located on the Jamui-Giddhaur main road. The deceased has been identified as Amit Kumar (10), son of Anil Rai, a resident of Itona village in Lakhisarai district.

Relatives say that Amit along with his grandfather Raghu Rai was going to Dhamna Kashikura village under Jhajha police station area of Jamui district late on Thursday night to attend a baraati on a Scorpio. As soon as they reached near the Katauna petrol pump on the Jamui-Giddhaur main road, some people got down from the Scorpio to defecate. Meanwhile, Amit also got down on the roadside and started defecating. Then a speeding auto hit Amit in which he was seriously injured.

After the incident, the family hurriedly got him admitted to Jamui Sadar Hospital. Amit died during treatment due to serious injuries in several parts of his head and body. After getting information about the incident, the police of Town police station reached the spot and got involved in the investigation of the whole matter by taking possession of the dead body. Giving information regarding the incident, Amit’s grandfather said that late on Thursday night, Scorpio was going to Dhamna Kashikura under Jhajha police station area of Jamui district to attend a wedding ceremony. Then a speeding auto hit him while defecating near the Katauna petrol pump. At present, the police have started investigating the matter.
