The deceased student has been identified as Vikas Kumar (16), son of Nandkishore Mishra, resident of Navagaon village of Chanpatia police station area.

Family members say that on Thursday morning Vikas had gone out on a bike to appear for the matriculation exam. A speeding bus crushed him near Mishrauli Chowk. The accident was so severe that he died. Here, local people say that the speed of the bus was very high. This accident happened due to the mistake of the driver. Some people running road safety campaigns say that the police should take this matter seriously and take strict action against the bus driver.
