Candidates of RJD, JDU and Jan Suraj Party will file nomination forms on Thursday for the Belaganj seat Imamganj Assembly by-election. From Belaganj assembly seat, JDU candidate Manorama Devi, RJD candidate Vishwanath Yadav and Jan Suraj Party candidate Mohd. Amjad will file nomination forms today. Whereas from Imamganj assembly seat, Hama Party candidate Deepa Manjhi and Jan Suraj Party candidate Dr. Jitendra Paswan will file nomination papers. In view of the nomination of candidates of major parties, the district administration has made tight security arrangements.
Six people have nominated so far
A total of 06 candidates have filed nomination forms for the Belaganj and Imamganj assembly by-elections on Wednesday. Two candidates have contested the elections from Imamganj and four from Belaganj. Earlier on Tuesday, a candidate from Belaganj had filed nomination forms.
A total of 20 NRs have been cut from Belaganj.
On Wednesday, Neelam Kumari from Swadhinata Party and Prabhat Niranjan from People’s Party of India filed nomination for Imamganj Assembly. Whereas from Belaganj Assembly, Manjay Kumar of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, Munna Kumar of Samajwadi Lok Parishad, Jitendra Yadav of People’s Party of India Democratic and Abhishek Kumar of Rashtriya Democratic Morcha have filed nomination forms. Earlier on Tuesday, only one candidate had filed nomination from Belaganj assembly seat, Tabrez Alam of The National Road Map Party of India. So far 09 NRs have been cut from Imamganj Assembly and 20 NRs have been cut from Belaganj. However, RJD candidate from Imamganj Assembly, Roshan Manjhi will file his nomination papers on October 25.
