Expansion
Before the by-elections on four seats of Bihar, election strategist Prashant Kishore changed two candidates of his party. Now from Belaganj to Mohd. Kiran Devi will contest from Amjad and Tarari. Jansuraj first defeated Prof. from Belaganj assembly seat. Khilafat Hussain was made the party’s candidate. But, after expressing his disagreement with contesting the elections, Prashant Kishore resigned from Belaganj assembly seat. Has made Amjad its candidate. Whereas Lieutenant General SK Singh was made the candidate from Tarari assembly seat. But, due to the absence of name of Lieutenant General SK Singh in the voter list, his candidature had to be withdrawn. Kiran Devi has been made his candidate from Tarari assembly seat.
Candidates changed due to different circumstances
Talking to journalists, Prashant Kishore said that the candidates of Belaganj and Tarari have been changed due to different circumstances. Now Mohd. in Belaganj. Amjad and Kiran Devi will be candidates from Tarari. It is easy for the old party to contest elections. It is difficult for new people to contest elections. Former Deputy Army Chief General Krishna Singh fought for the country but could not contest elections from his assembly constituency. His name was in the voter list in Noida. The administration here did not allow him to contest elections. We made many requests to the district administration. Tried a lot. But, no one listened. We did not make it an election issue. All of us including General Krishna Singh took the decision that Kiran Devi should be made the candidate of Jansuraj.
For this reason Mohd did not want to contest elections. Amjad
Prashant Kishore said that a meeting was held in Belaganj regarding the selection of the candidate. In this everyone said Mohd. Amjad’s name was suggested. But, he does not want to contest elections. He Prof. Suggested the name of Khilafat Hussain. Amjad ji did not want to contest elections due to financial reasons. But, later Khilafat Hussain refused to contest the elections. Pro.
