Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today launched Kharif Mahabhiyan-2024 from 01 Anne Marg. On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off Kisan Awareness Vehicles for all the districts under Kharif Mahabhiyan-2024. The objective of this program is to make farmers aware by giving them information about various schemes run by the Agriculture Department. Through these Kisan Awareness Vehicles, farmers will be given technical information about Kharif crops and information about the schemes run by the Agriculture Department in the Kharif season.
Besides this, farmers will be made aware by publicising other programmes including information on distribution of inputs at subsidised rates in Kharif, awareness about crop residue management, information related to climate-friendly agriculture programme, incentives for organic farming, special information on crop diversification, information on various dimensions of the fourth agriculture road map. At the beginning of the programme, Secretary of Agriculture Department Sanjay Kumar Aggarwal welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him a green plant and a flower bouquet.
