The case of corona infection is not showing any sign of stopping in Gaya district. There has been a stir in the health department after dozens of people were confirmed to be corona infected. A foreign tourist testing positive for Corona and writing a wrong address has also become a cause of problems.
No infected foreigner found
Last Saturday, four people from Belaganj block of the district, including a Buddhist devotee, were found corona positive. In this regard, Civil Surgeon of Gaya Ranjan Kumar said that the sample of a foreign tourist was taken for corona test yesterday at Gaya International Airport. The investigation report has confirmed that he was infected with Corona. On the other hand, the investigation report of four people from Belaganj block has also come positive. He told that the samples of Corona infected people have been sent to Patna for genome frequency.

The address entered by the foreign tourist whose sample was taken for Covid test at Gaya International Airport yesterday turned out to be wrong. After the Covid report came positive, when the address given by him during investigation was inquired, no guest of that name was found in the hotel. It is known that Shanti Buddha Hotel located in Bodh Gaya was registered in the address given while giving the sample for Covid test.
Fear of widespread corona infection
Not knowing the travel history of a Covid infected person is inviting corona infection. Bodhgaya is currently flooded with foreign tourists. In such a situation, wherever the said foreign tourist goes, he is at risk of spreading corona infection.

Gaya Civil Surgeon Dr. Ranjan Kumar Singh says that within a few days, about 18 Corona positive patients have been found, out of which samples of a dozen patients have been sent for genome sequencing. But till now not a single sample report has come from Patna.
