The injured person has been identified as Vikas Kumar (25), son of Uma Rai, a resident of Digghi Kala Paschim village under Sadar police station area. The victim is the middle one among three brothers and works as a property dealer. The bullet hit his right knee from behind, which went out from the front, damaging the bone. The injured Vikas’s father drives an auto.

The second incident took place near Diggi Kala Purvi Diksha Ashram in Sadar police station area at 2 pm. It is being told that three miscreants on a bike shot and injured a retired soldier when he resisted mobile snatching. After shooting, the miscreants fled from the spot. As soon as the information of the incident was received, people from the vicinity gathered at the spot. With the help of local people, the family rushed the injured retired soldier to Sadar Hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Sadar SHO Arvind Prasad reached the spot along with police officer and police force and started investigating the case. The injured retired soldier has been identified as Ajay Kumar Thakur (59), son of late Lotan Thakur, resident of Manibhakurhar of Sarai police station. Regarding the incident, the brother of the retired soldier said that Ajay Kumar Thakur was getting his house constructed near Digghi Kala Purvi Diksha Ashram. The laborers were plastering the house. He had gone to the grocery shop nearby to get five hundred rupees in retail to pay the laborer. While returning from the grocery shop, three miscreants on a bike surrounded the retired soldier. Then they started snatching mobile and money. When the old man protested, the miscreants shot two bullets in his leg. After committing the crime, the bike-riding miscreants fled from the spot.

Vaishali SP Har Kishore Rai said that at around 1:00 in the night, a person Vikas Kumar was shot and injured by three unknown criminals riding a motorcycle near the Cancer Hospital in Digghi Kala West under Sadar police station. The family of the injured has not given any information to the local police station in this regard. According to the information, the injured has been taken to Patna for treatment by his family. Verification is being done. Initial investigation reveals that the firing was done from an illegal firearm among themselves. The injured also has a criminal history in the past.

Regarding the second incident, he said that today at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, retired soldier Ajay Kumar Thakur was shot near Digghi Kala Purvi Diksha Ashram under Sadar police station. Actually, the incident of shooting in the leg by three unknown criminals riding a motorcycle while snatching the mobile has happened. The injured Ajay Kumar Thakur has been sent to Sadar Hospital, Hajipur for treatment. The footage of CCTV cameras around the incident spot is being investigated regarding the above incident.
