Bihar Crime: Newly married woman murdered due to dowry in Vaishali, leaving her in-laws’ house

In Vaishali district, for not giving a bullet bike and gold chain, the dowry demon in-laws poisoned the newly-married woman to death and all have fled leaving the house. The incident is of Hasimlahi village of Bhagwanpur police station area. On Wednesday night, the in-laws thrashed the in-laws for dowry, after which the newly married woman was poisoned and killed.

The people around have given information about the murder to her maternal uncle, after which the maternal uncle reached the in-laws of the married woman and informed the police about the incident. Police have taken the dead body in possession and sent it to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for postmortem and have started investigation in the matter.

The deceased has been described as Khushboo Kumari, daughter of Harendra Rai, resident of Hajipur Dakbungalow Road, who was married 11 months ago to Deepak Rai, 26-year-old son of late Sanjay Rai, resident of Bhagwanpur police station area. But since marriage, in-laws were demanding bullet bike and gold chain. But the married woman’s father expressed his inability to give the bullet bike and gold chain, the in-laws started fighting with the married woman. The married woman was also being harassed mentally, about which she used to inform her family members. After the death of the married woman, there has been uproar among the parents.

Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the police officers of the city police station reached Sadar Hospital Hajipur and started investigating the matter. The police have recorded the statement of the married woman’s father. However, the accused in-laws are absconding leaving all the houses. The police is conducting a raid campaign to arrest the in-laws. Presently, postmortem exercise has been started at Sadar Hospital Hajipur.
