Police from two police stations caught six criminals

The Sursand and Choraut police stations of Sitamarhi district of Bihar have arrested six youths including two notorious criminals with ganja and country-made pistols. DSP Atanu Dutta shared this information in a press conference on Monday evening at the Sursand police station premises. He said that the Sursand police had received a secret information on Sunday night that some people were going to cross the border with drugs via the Nepal border. Based on that information, the Sursand police formed a team under the leadership of Sub Inspector Rajesh Kumar and Assistant Sub Inspector Arun Kumar Puri.
The said police team took immediate action and reached the border and caught two suspicious persons crossing the border. After this, on searching them, 2 kg 300 grams of ganja, a country-made pistol and a live bullet were recovered from them. One of the arrested criminals has been identified as Shiv Shankar Sahni, son of Ravindra Sahni, resident of Ward No. 7 of Sursand Nagar Panchayat. At the same time, the other has been identified as Param Kumar alias Pramod Kumar, son of Mahesh Raut. In this regard, Pupri DSP Atanu Dutta said that more than two dozen cases are already registered against Shiv Shankar Sahni in various police stations of Sitamarhi district. Both of them are notorious criminals.
At the same time, Choraut police station has achieved a big success by arresting four criminals who were planning to commit a crime. During this, many objectionable and suspicious items including a country-made pistol have been recovered. The DSP said that on Sunday night, the Choraut police station chief received a secret information that some criminals were planning to commit a crime in Khoria Baghicha.
On receiving the information, Choraut police station in-charge Sukhwinder Nain, Sub Inspector Punit Kumar etc. reached the spot with armed forces. They cordoned off the area and caught four criminals along with a Pulsar motorcycle. During the search of these criminals, a pistol, a bullet, a knife and four mobile phones were recovered from them.
