Late on Sunday night, the police recovered the body of a young man in a mutilated condition from pole number 366/12 railway track between Dashrathpur railway station and Abhaypur railway station on Jamalpur-Keul railway section in Munger district. There is no clear information yet as to which train caused the death of the young man. However, after getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and are busy investigating the matter. After receiving information about the incident, the train was operated from the up line. Meanwhile, Dharhara police has taken the body into its custody and sent it to Sadar Hospital Munger for post-mortem.
The body has not been identified
During this period, the upline Jamalpu Kiul EMU passenger train remained stopped near the incident site for more than an hour. The track was cleared at 5:00 in the morning. Looking at the dead body, it is estimated that the age of the deceased would be around 35 years. Dharhara police station chief Dhirendra Kumar Pathak said that information about the incident was given by the railway police at 3:00 pm. As soon as the information was received, Dharhara police reached the spot and started identifying the body. The deceased could not be identified as his head and other body parts were badly mutilated. No mobile phone or any other kind of evidence has been found from him. Due to which the body could not be identified immediately.

Regarding the incident, it is said that late at night the driver of 09028 Bandra Terminus Special Express train informed the Abhaypur Station Master about the presence of a dead body on the railway track near Adalpur. Dharhara station master informed RPF about the incident. After this the police also reached there and started investigation. Police are investigating the case from all three angles: murder, suicide and accident. Help is being sought from nearby police stations to identify the body.
