In Muzaffarpur, the country’s largest steel manufacturing company Jindal Steel and Brand Protection Services Pvt. Ltd. Fake products were being sold in the name of . Businesses worth Rs 100 crore were also being done every year through fraud. This was revealed when Muzaffarpur police reached a factory making fake steel sheets in Chak Mohammadpur village of Ahiyapur police station area. The police had come to raid on the complaint of an officer of Jindal Steel Company. Steel sheets worth crores of rupees have been seized from the fake factory in the raid. However, during this time the factory workers and its owner managed to escape.
