Bihar government is encouraging farmers to cultivate expensive vegetables. To increase the income of farmers from the cultivation of such vegetables, Bihar government is starting ‘Vegetable Development Scheme’. Under which the state government will give subsidy of up to 75 percent to the farmers for cultivating some selected varieties of vegetables. Apart from this, seeds of some vegetables are also being given to the farmers under the Vegetable Seed Distribution Programme.

Under the Vegetable Development Scheme, on the cultivation of hybrid vegetable crops Broccoli (Rabi), Capsicum (Rabi), Tomato (Rabi), Cauliflower (Rabi), Cabbage (Rabi), Brinjal (Garma), Watermelon (Garma) and Melon (Garma). Farmers will get exemption. Apart from this, 75 percent subsidy will be given on the unit cost of vegetable seed distribution (hybrid), pumpkin (garma), nenua (garma), bitter gourd (garma), ladyfinger (garma) and chilli (garma) and onion seed distribution (rabi).

Under this scheme, farmers will get benefit in any one sub-ingredient of vegetables within the prescribed limit. Every vegetable farmer will get a minimum subsidy of Rs 1000 and a maximum of Rs 10,000. Farmers having vegetable seeds will be given seed subsidy on minimum 0.25 acres and maximum 2.5 acres. Availability of vegetable seedlings will be made available through Center of Excellence (Vegetable), Chandi Nalanda and availability of vegetable seeds will be made available through Bihar State Seed Corporation, Patna.

You will not get benefits without these forms

It is mandatory for the farmers availing the benefit of Seed Development Scheme to provide any one of the certificate of ownership of their farm, revenue receipt updated from last 2 years, online updated receipt, genealogy, certificate of legal land ownership based on agreement. will be. If the name of the applicant is not clear in the land ownership and revenue receipt, then genealogy along with the land ownership and revenue receipt will be required.
