An AC bus full of passengers caught fire late on Sunday night near Damka Chowk Gulab Bagh in Purnia city. The bus was going from Chhapra to Siliguri. Meanwhile, a sudden fire broke out in the bus near Sadar police station area. The bus was completely burnt to ashes in the accident. Along with the bus, the luggage of the passengers also got burnt. It is a matter of honor that there was no casualty in the accident. The passengers got out of the bus safely in time. There were more than 24 people in the bus. The fire was brought under control after a lot of effort with the help of local people and fire brigade personnel. According to the information, the bus caught fire after the diesel tank burst.

According to information, a sudden fire broke out in a bus going from Chhapra to Siliguri in Purnia at around 12.30 a.m. due to explosion of diesel tank. The incident took place near Damka Chowk Gulab Bagh under Sadar police station area. As soon as the passengers came to know about this, there was chaos in the bus. However, it was a matter of gratitude that the passengers saved their lives by jumping out of the bus in time. The fire was so strong, that in no time the bus was burnt to ashes. The people present on the spot immediately informed the police and fire department about the incident, but by the time the vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot, the bus was completely burnt. At present, the police has started investigating the matter. In relation to the incident, the bus driver told that the bus was going from Chhapra to Siliguri via Purnia. In the same sequence, the bus caught fire due to explosion of diesel tank near Damka Chowk Gulab Bagh on the way.
