The firing incident that took place on Thursday in Muraura village of Bihar police station area in Nalanda district spread panic in the area. In this incident, two miscreants were caught by the villagers and beaten badly.

According to the information received, five miscreants had come to the utensil shop of Rahul Kumar living in Muraura village. These miscreants also included Jaipal Yadav, resident of Bind police station area and Rahul Kumar, resident of Manpur police station area. These miscreants had a dispute with the shopkeeper over some issue and started fighting. They also opened fire to spread terror.
The mob caught two miscreants
Hearing the sound of the bullet, nearby people gathered and caught the two miscreants who were running away. The crowd thrashed these two miscreants severely. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and freed both of them from the clutches of the mob and admitted them to Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Police registered a case
Shopkeeper Rahul Kumar has lodged an FIR against the five miscreants. Police have recovered a cartridge from Jaipal’s pocket. Police is busy searching for other absconding criminals. There is a lot of anger among the local people due to this incident. If the police had not arrived on time, the miscreants could have become victims of mob lynching.
Sadar DSP’s statement
Sadar DSP Nurul Haq said that as soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and rescued both the miscreants from the clutches of the mob. He said that the police is investigating the matter and soon other absconding criminals will also be arrested.
