After becoming the first child marriage free village of Bihar, a unique initiative has again been started by Dubetola, a Mahadalit settlement of Parihar block. Here a group of youth is running a campaign against child labour. It has been making people aware by running campaigns for the last several years. Teams from many institutions and the district administration are involved in this. In this, the message is being spread through rallies, awareness programs, street plays etc.

‘Book donation’ campaign has been started under the leadership of Chandan Manjhi, member of Child Protection Committee and Indra Kumari, member of First Matriculation Pass Children Committee of Dubetola, to arrange a library in Mahadalit colony Dubetola. There is a lot of enthusiasm in the village after this initiative.

This village of the block is situated on the Nepal border, due to which smuggling takes place. Earlier, a large number of children here used to indulge in child trafficking. But, due to the tireless efforts of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, children in this village were attracted towards education by running various programs including Samvarta Bachpan. After this, the children left the smuggling business and considered education as their main goal. Children are receiving education from high school and middle school in the Panchayat. This village has become completely free from child marriage and child labour.

In this regard, Chief Dhaneshwar Paswan said that now Dubetola village is a child marriage free village. It is necessary to arrange a library for the village children to develop their interest in education. A mass book donation campaign has been started for the library. Some books were also found on the first day of the campaign. We hope that we will definitely get cooperation and support from all the people.

At the same time, the head will request the district administration for the location of the library. At the same time, Chandan Manjhi, a member of the Child Protection Committee, said that everything is possible if a person takes resolution, the source of inspiration for which is the mountain man Baba Dashrath Manjhi.
