In Munger, police have arrested 11 people with a large quantity of manufactured and semi-manufactured illegal weapons. A woman is also among those arrested. This case is from Mufassil police station area. Actually, Mufassil police station received secret information that a man is coming with his wife on a bike from Nauwagarhi towards Hasanpur carrying illegal weapons. Based on this information, the police started vehicle checking near Sitakund Deeh. When the police stopped the husband and wife riding the bike and questioned them, they started getting nervous. On suspicion, the police checked the bag hanging on the husband’s shoulder, in which nine country-made pistols and nine extra magazines were recovered.

After that, during interrogation, the bike driver told his name as Arvind Mandal and his wife’s name as Preeti Kumari. Both are residents of Bengali Tola of Bariyarpur. When the police strictly questioned both of them about the bike, Arvind Mandal told that the bike was stolen. Mohd. Tanveer alias Mandal and Mohd. Zulfiqar had given it to him for delivering and bringing raw material for illegal weapons. Both the husband and wife who were arrested told that there are a total of 13 members in a group with us, who manufacture, buy and sell weapons illegally and smuggle them. The main leaders of this work are Mohd. Tanveer alias Mandal and Zulfiqar, residents of Mirzapur Bardha. He told the police that Tanveer and Zulfiqar used to give me five thousand rupees per consignment for bringing and delivering the finished goods.

SP Syed Imran Masood told during the press conference that after the arrest of husband and wife in the illegal arms case, the police raided Kazichak village of Bariyarpur police station area. Where the police arrested father Chandra Kishore Yadav and son Piyush Kumar. During the raid, the police recovered two iron barrels and two semi-manufactured pistols along with weapons making equipment from the spot. After this action, the police reached Rishikund mountain and raided, where the police arrested seven artisans along with six base machines, two semi-manufactured magazines, two pistols, three semi-manufactured pistols and weapons making equipment including sandpaper. The arrested people include Mohd. Babar, Mohd. Aurangzeb, Mohd. Rizwan, Mohd. Shakeel, Mohd. Babar, Mohd. Shiblu and Sumit Kumar. Mini gun factory and equipment were recovered from these people.

During interrogation, all of them told the police that they get Rs. 4,500 per pistol. All of them told the police that the main kingpins are Mohd. Tanvir alias Mandal and Mohd. Zulfiqar. After that, when the police raided Mirzapur Bardha village to arrest both of them, both the kingpins fled when the police arrived. The SP told that in this case, the police have arrested 11 people including a woman. The two main kingpins are absconding, both will be arrested soon. The SP told that among the arrested accused Mohd. Babar, Mohd. Rizwan, Mohd. Shakeel Ahmed and Piyush Kumar have cases registered against them in various police stations including Arms Act.

Along with this, the SP said that the police of Mufassil, Bariyarpur and Naya Ramnagar police stations and the District Information Unit team will be rewarded for solving this case.
