Seeing this uproar, the Chief Minister left the Assembly. After this, the opposition parties held their own assembly in the well in front of the Speaker’s chair. Mehboob Alam started presiding over it. The opposition MLAs sat on the ground there, while some joined the meeting standing up. This did not stop even after repeated requests by Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav.
