Not a single voter has yet reached the Katihar Municipal Corporation polling station. Despite the start of voting, not a single voter has arrived yet. Here all the preparations for voting had already been completed. Election workers are waiting for the voters to arrive.

All preparations for voting completed
9322 polling stations have been set up on five seats in the second phase. Voters started reaching the booth for voting from 6 am onwards. Preparations are being made before voting at polling booth number 179, 178 of Shyama Sanskrit Middle School located in Katihar Lok Sabha constituency. All preparations for voting have already been completed.

Voting will begin at 7 o’clock today in Bhagalpur, Banka, Katihar, Kishanganj and Purnia seats of the second phase of Lok Sabha elections. For this, 9322 polling stations have been created. 93 lakh 96 thousand 298 voters will exercise their franchise. A total of 50 candidates are in the fray for five seats. All eyes are on independent Pappu Yadav from Purnia Lok Sabha seat and Congress candidate Ajit Sharma from Bhagalpur. At the same time, 55 thousand security personnel have been deployed on the border with Nepal and West Bengal. Talking about the weather, the temperature in Purnia and Bhagalpur remained above 40 degrees in the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued orange alert at some places in Banka, Bhagalpur and Purnia. There are chances of heat wave (heat wave) at some places. The district administration has made arrangements for drinking water and sheds for protection from sunlight at the polling stations.
