The election results for 40 seats in Bihar have come. The mandate on many seats has surprised. This time the magic of the National Democratic Alliance did not work fully in Bihar. In 2019, the NDA had won 39 seats. This time it had to be satisfied with 30 seats. On the other hand, the people gave nine seats to the Mahagathbandhan, which had won only one seat last time. Independent candidate and Congress leader Pappu Yadav won the Purnea seat. He defeated NDA candidate Santosh Kushwaha. Talking about the equation, the NDA and the Mahagathbandhan had given tickets to a total of 18 upper caste, 16 Yadav and 10 extremely backward class candidates. Out of these, 11 upper caste, six Yadav and five extremely backward class candidates won. Muslim candidates won and reached the Parliament from Kishanganj and Katihar.

Veteran leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party had to face defeat. These include PM Modi cabinet minister RK Singh, former minister Ramkripal Yadav, two-time MP Sushil Singh, Mithilesh Tiwari trying his luck for the first time from Buxar, Shivesh Kumar from Sasaram. Two daughters of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad were in the electoral fray. Of these, Misa Bharti won while Rohini Acharya had to face defeat. Misa Bharti defeated BJP’s Ramkripal Yadav by 85 thousand 174 votes. Rohini Acharya had to face defeat from BJP candidate Rajiv Pratap Rudy by just 13 thousand 661 votes. RJD candidate and former minister Sudhakar Singh also surprised everyone in Buxar. He defeated BJP’s Mithilesh Tiwari.

At the same time, former national president of Janata Dal United, Lallan Singh defeated Bahubali Ashok Mahto’s wife and RJD candidate Kumari Anita by 80 thousand 870 votes. Chirag Paswan and his party surprised everyone again. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) was contesting the elections from Hajipur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui Lok Sabha seats this time. Its candidates won by a huge margin on all five seats. Chirag surprised everyone by bringing a hundred percent strike rate. At the same time, one of the most talked about seats, Karakat, was considered to be a tough contest between NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha and independent Pawan Singh. Many star campaigners including PM Modi had also come to seek votes for Kushwaha on this seat. But, when the result came, Rajaram Singh of CPI (ML) was confirmed as the winner. CPI (ML) had won another seat. CPI (ML) candidate Sudama Prasad defeated two-time MP RK Singh. Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi won from Gaya seat.
