Out of these, 11 upper caste, six Yadav and five extremely backward class candidates won. Muslim candidates won and reached the Parliament from Kishanganj and Katihar.

RJD candidate and former minister Sudhakar Singh also surprised everyone in Buxar. He defeated BJP’s Mithilesh Tiwari.

CPI (ML) had won another seat. CPI (ML) candidate Sudama Prasad defeated two-time MP RK Singh. Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi won from Gaya seat.
