On Tuesday evening, criminals escaped with jewelery worth more than Rs 5 lakh from the trunk of a gold trader’s bike near the State Bank of India branch located at Pratapganj block headquarters of Supaul. The incident is said to have happened around 06:30 in the evening. According to the information, Raman Thakur, son of Kamal Kishore Thakur, resident of Ward 15 of Bhawanipur South Panchayat, was going home on bike after closing his shop located in the market as usual. While going home, he kept the valuable jewelery kept in the shop and the keys of the shop in a bag and kept it in the trunk of the bike. After leaving the shop, he parked the bike at a sweet shop near the bank and went to buy samosas.
