Married woman died under suspicious circumstances in Nalanda. The parents alleged that the in-laws strangled her to death. The incident took place in Jahana village of Bind police station area. There was a stir in the area after the death of the woman. There was a crowd of people nearby. Here, as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating. Police sends dead body for post-mortem. The woman was identified as Reena Devi (33), wife of Dinesh Prasad, resident of Jahana village.
In-laws family did not give money for household expenses
Reena Devi’s brother Shashikant Kumar, resident of Bara Vigha village of Hilsa police station area, told that his niece called him and told him that his mother was murdered by her father, uncle and grandmother by pressing her mouth and nose. Shashikant told that his sister was earning her living by studying in a private school. Her in-laws did not give money for household expenses and her in-laws, including her husband, used to harass her. Whenever she used to come to her parents’ house, her in-laws family used to call her and abuse her.
Just a year ago, my husband got transferred and came to Bihar Sharif.
Actually, in the month of February 2014, Rajkumar Singh married his daughter Reena to Dinesh, son of late Ram Balak Raut, resident of Jahana village of Bind police station area. She was also given dowry according to her status. Everything went well for 1 year of marriage. After this the in-laws started harassing Reena. Meanwhile, a son and a daughter were also born. The young man used to work in Group D of Railways in Maharashtra. He came to Bihar Sharif after getting transferred only a year ago.
SHO said- cause of death will be known after post mortem report
Bind Police Station Officer Sudhir Kumar said that the parents of the parents are accusing the in-laws family of murder. After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The cause of death will be revealed only after the post mortem report comes. The police started taking advance action.
