A case of assault on a mother and daughter on the accusation of being witches has come to light in a village of Patna. In this case, the victim’s family has appealed for justice by applying in the police station. In this case, trainee DSP cum station head of Gaurichak police station Chinki Kumari said that after receiving the written application, the police is conducting raids in search of the accused. Action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the case.

Even the woman’s mangalsutra was snatched

Ravish Kumar, a youth from the victim’s family, said that his house is in Kansari village of Gaurichak police station. Late Tuesday evening, when he was not at home, some people from the village entered the house accusing his mother and sister of being witches and beat them up badly. In this process, the villagers also snatched their mangalsutra and earrings. He admitted both of them to a private nursing home in Sampatchak for treatment in an injured state. After the incident, he has given a written complaint to the Gaurichak police station.

FIR lodged against five people

Ravish Kumar said that even after 24 hours of the incident, no action has been taken by the police. Regarding this matter, Gaurichak’s trainee DSP Chinki Kumari said that investigation is being done to find out who all are involved in the incident. Police will take action against whoever is found guilty in this case. She said that five people have been named in this case.
