Then suddenly a young man came out of a house and with a knife in his hand stabbed a 16 year old boy who was begging for meat. He absconded after the incident. Not only this, other boys present with the injured boy also fled away.

Child died in hospital

After the incident, there was panic in the area. The injured teenager, covered in blood, was admitted to the hospital for treatment, where the minor died during treatment on Monday morning. As soon as the news of the incident reached the village, there was a mournful silence in the entire locality. The happiness of Holi was drowned in a moment by the flood of tears.

Police engaged in investigation

Didarganj police station in-charge Mithilesh Kumar said that on Saturday night, information was received about a boy who was collecting material for Holika Dahan. They told that he died during treatment. He has told about asking for Goitha for Holika Dahan. He said that the deceased child has been identified as Ritesh Kumar (16), resident of Khaspur. He said that the police is also examining the CCTV footage around the incident spot. The police station in-charge said that till now no written application has been received from Ritesh Kumar’s family, due to which the name of the stabbing youth is not being clearly confirmed. He said that the police will take further action only after receiving the application.
