Two people died in a horrific road accident in Darbhanga while the condition of one is critical. A speeding car overturned hitting three people between Bakmandal-Judiya village on Darbhanga-Baheri highway. The accident was so severe that two people riding the bike died on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Kiran Devi (44), wife of Vidyanand Laldev of Shivram village of Baheri police station area. The youth was identified as Ashok Laldev (25), son of Hemo Laldev of Chakka village under Baheri police station area. The injured woman was identified as Veena Devi, wife of Mithilesh Laldev of Pakri village. His right leg was badly injured in the accident. He is undergoing treatment in DMCH. Family members say that Ashok Laldev was the son-in-law of Veena Devi.

Here, Rahul Laldev, son of the injured woman Veena Devi, told that his mother, aunt and brother-in-law were returning from Pakdi village on bike after getting treatment from the doctor. Meanwhile, a speeding car coming from behind near Judiya hit the bike hard from behind. The car overturned in a ditch after being hit. Due to the sound of the tremendous collision of vehicles, people from nearby areas came to the spot. Meanwhile, all the people in the car left the car and ran away.

Brother-in-law Ramnath Kumar told that my sister-in-law Kiran Devi had reached that place to know the well-being of her ailing elder sister Beena Devi. His elder sister and son-in-law came and stopped by bike. After this all three started talking. Meanwhile, the speeding car hit all three and overturned. Due to this both of them died. Police station incharge Varun Kumar Goswami reached the spot along with the police force and confiscated both the damaged vehicles and kept them in the police station premises. Both the bodies have been sent from the spot to DMCH for post-mortem. Suman Kumar Singh, head of Samadhpura Panchayat, the incident area, has demanded from the government and higher officials that arrangements should be made to provide government assistance to the dependents of both the deceased and better treatment to the injured at government expense.
