Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has come out in support of the Governor of Bihar. Along with this, ABVP has written a letter to the Central Government against Additional Chief Education Secretary KK Pathak. In it, ABVP highlighted the continuous unnecessary interference of ACS KK Pathak in the academic autonomy of the universities of Bihar, the financial crisis arising out of freezing the accounts of the universities and its ill effects on the administrative work, the problems arising from the large number of vacancies in higher educational institutions. Raising the issue, Cabinet Secretary of the Government of India, Rajiv Gauba has demanded action.

ABVP made serious allegations

In the letter written to the Central Government, it has been said that due to freezing of accounts of universities by Bihar Education Department, higher educational institutions of entire Bihar are facing serious financial crisis for the last three months. This is having adverse effects on the higher education sector of Bihar. Also, due to unnecessary interference in the decisions of universities by KK Pathak, Additional Chief Secretary of Bihar State, academic and administrative crisis has arisen. Due to freezing of accounts of universities, 3,500 professors, 2,800 non-teaching staff, more than 3,000 retired professors, 1,400 guest professors and 2,500 contractual employees are not getting their salaries and pensions, posing a serious challenge to them.

‘The future of more than 26 lakh students is deteriorating’

ABVP National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla said that it is extremely sad and shameful that due to the stubborn attitude of the Additional Chief Education Secretary of Bihar, the condition of universities and colleges has completely deteriorated. The unconstitutional and undemocratic confrontation of ACS with Raj Bhavan is affecting the interests of the education sector. Due to the stubborn attitude of the Education Department, the future of more than 26 lakh students studying in the higher education sector of Bihar is deteriorating. Vidyarthi Parishad demands immediate action from the Cabinet Secretary in the interest of Bihar education sector.
