As soon as Akash came to bowl, everyone started shouting loudly. Cricket Academy coaches and players say that when Indian team coach Rahul Dravid gave the test cap to Rohtas’s Lal Akash Deep, everyone jumped with joy. Especially when after getting the test cap, when Akash touched his mother’s feet and took blessings, it felt as if he is still the same Akash. This is a matter of pride not only for Rohtas but for entire Bihar.
The death of father and brother shook the sky
Those who know Akash Deep closely say that Akash’s journey to join the Indian team was not easy. He has struggled a lot. There came a time when Akash had to stay away from cricket to run his household. Akash’s father Ramji Singh wanted Akash to do a job. In this sequence, Akash went to Durgapur in search of a job. Joined the Cricket Academy there with a party time job. Everything was going well but suddenly Akash’s father passed away. Akash is back. He was already missing his father when suddenly his elder brother also said goodbye to him. The demise of father and brother in about two months shocked Akash. Now the responsibility of the family fell on Akash’s shoulders. Akash took care of the family for three years and then started playing cricket. Made his debut in first class cricket in 2019. In 2020, Akash was bought by Bengaluru in the IPL. After this Akash did not look back.
