Taking major action, the surveillance in Khagaria has arrested the AGM of State Food Corporation while taking bribe. The monitoring team from Patna visited State Food Corporation’s AGM Mohd. Shaheed Raza has been arrested red handed while taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh 5 thousand. Monitoring DSP Vikash Srivastava said that a complaint was received against the AGM. After which appropriate action has been taken.

Bribe was demanded from rice mill owner

State Food Corporation’s AGM Mohd. came under surveillance on Wednesday. Shaheed Raza had demanded bribe from Hitech Agro Udaan Limited operating in Alauli block of the district. In this regard, a complaint was lodged by the company owner Santosh Kumar. This action has been taken after the AGM had demanded bribe from the company owner for the supply of rice in the State Food Corporation.

AGM was troubling me for a long time

In this regard, complainant Santosh Kumar told that he was informed by State Food Corporation’s AGM Mohd. Shaheed Raza was harassing him for a long time. He told that his company supplies rice to the State Food Corporation. AGM Mohd. Shaheed Raza was repeatedly harassing him regarding the quality of rice. This time when the AGM agreed to take the rice, a bribe was demanded from him. After which he complained about this matter to the surveillance.
