Bihar: AIIMS doctors and students took out a protest march against the incident that happened with the student of RG Kar Medical College. They have demanded action against the responsible officials of RG Kar Medical College and the accused.

In protest against the rape and murder of a Kolkata medical college student, AIIMS doctors, students and girls took out a protest march again today, which included MS, Dean, DDA and other administrative officials. This protest march was led by the AIIMS director himself. On this occasion, he said that we strongly condemn the incident that happened with the student of RG Kar Medical College. He said that this tragic incident has shocked the entire medical community. He said that we demand immediate justice for the victim and increased security for healthcare professionals across the country. In view of the continuation of violence and our continued demands for increased security at the workplace, we will continue our strike and refrain from providing elective services. However, emergency services will function normally.

72 hours time given

While marching, they said that our demand is that the government should get this case investigated by the CBI and whoever is involved in this case should be given the harshest punishment. They also said that the senior officials responsible for the medical college should resign immediately. Also, the police should identify the person who attacked the medical college and take immediate action against him. They warned the government that if action is not taken within 72 hours, this nationwide strike will continue. The doctors called upon all the faculty members, residents, students, nursing officers and employees to participate in our protest and show their unity. Tomorrow we will gather in the OPD foyer at 8:00 am so that we can continue our special demands.
