An ambulance driver was shot dead by criminals at the gate of PMCH in Patna. The deceased has been identified as Vinay Kumar Das, son of Jawahar Das, a resident of Dogri in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand state. Vinay Kumar Das currently lived in Pataliputra police station area.

Bike rider criminal first argued and then shot

Regarding the incident, Town DSP Ashok Kumar says that two criminals riding a bike came and started arguing with Vinay Kumar Das over some issue. Gradually the matter escalated to a fight. Both the criminals started beating Vinay Kumar. During this, Vinay started running away from there to save himself, during this the criminals shot him twice. Vinay Kumar fell on the ground as soon as the bullet hit him. As soon as he fell on the ground, the criminals boarded a bike and fled from the spot. The ambulance driver present there immediately took him to the doctor, where the doctor declared him dead.

There was a dispute regarding taking the patient to a private hospital

Regarding the cause of the incident, Town DSP Ashok Kumar said that during investigation it was found that the ambulance drivers were already having disputes among themselves. He said that there is nothing new in the dispute over taking a patient to a private hospital. The accused had come from Marine Drive and then fled there. At present, the CCTV installed in and around the incident site is being scrutinized so that the criminals can be identified. On the other hand, other ambulance drivers will also be interrogated. Town DSP Ashok Kumar said that the police is investigating the matter. Very soon the criminals will be caught by the police.
