Regarding the incident, Bachchan Bind, son of the deceased, said that they do farming by taking it on lease. Raju has taken a field on lease from Rajjan of the same village and given it to them for farming. Anil Mahato of the village used to do farming on the said field. Anil Mahato had earlier also threatened them regarding this matter. Regarding this matter, Anil Mahato, instead of having enmity with Raju, took up the dispute with them. When his father was going to the field to irrigate the crop on Wednesday night, someone riding a bike shot him three times in the back from behind. Due to which he died on the spot itself.

On hearing the sound of bullets, they ran towards the field, where they saw that his father was lying on the ground soaked in blood and he had died. Earlier they were doing farming in three bighas. This time they were doing farming by taking two more bighas of land on lease. Hilsa DSP Sumit Kumar said that on Wednesday night, the police of Chiksaura police station received information that a person was shot dead in village Hudari. After receiving the information, Hilsa DSP, Hilsa Inspector, Chiksaura Police Station President and Karayparsurai Police Station President reached the spot with their team and started investigating the case. In the first look investigation, it has come to light that the murder was due to land dispute.
