Nine ministers have been made in the new government, including the Chief Minister. According to the report, 3.08 percent population is of Musahar and Santosh Kumar Suman alias Santosh Manjhi of Hindustani Awami Morcha – Secular, who has re-entered the current government as a constituent, belongs to this caste. He had left the then grand alliance government before the meeting of opposition parties in June. According to the caste population of the members included in the cabinet, Bhumihar comes next. Bhumihars were reported to be 2.89 percent in Bihar. In the cabinet, BJP’s Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha of this caste and Vijay Kumar Chaudhary of JDU quota are there. After this, the Kurmi caste comprising 2.87 percent of the population is being represented by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Minister Shravan Kumar. Meaning, there is a CM and a minister from this caste. Both are from JDU. Among the cabinet members, BJP’s Dr. Prem Kumar Chandravanshi comes from Kahar ethnic group. This is a very backward caste. In the caste census, the population of this caste was stated to be 1.64.
JDU will add Ravidas-Dusadh, what is BJP’s focus?
Congress’ number one leader Rahul Gandhi also kept waiting for the cabinet expansion of the previous government of Bihar, but now that government itself has ended. There will be no delay in the cabinet expansion of the new government. It will be completed before the budget session, meaning it is possible even by the end of this week. In such a situation, JDU’s focus will be on ministers from castes like Ravidas-Dusadh, because according to the caste census report, it has a number of them among the experienced ministers. On the other hand, according to its vote bank and caste equation, BJP will bring Yadav ministers besides Brahmin-Baniya.
