An ASI going for election duty in Ara, Bihar, died after falling from a train and getting hit by it. After that, the postmortem of the deceased’s body was done in Ara Sadar Hospital. The deceased ASI has been identified as Satyendra Singh, son of late Kameshwar Singh, resident of Berath village of Chauri police station area.
According to the information, Satyendra Singh was posted as ASI in Supaul police station of Supaul district. On Sunday, he left Supaul to go to Kaimur for election duty. But on the way, he stopped at Ara due to ill health. After getting treatment from the doctor here, he was boarding the Bhabua-Patna Intercity train on Tuesday morning. Then suddenly the train started moving. During this, his feet slipped and he fell under the train, due to which Satyendra Singh died on the spot.
It is being told that the deceased Satyendra Singh was employed as a constable 16 years ago. Recently he was promoted to the post of ASI. Today he was going to Kaimur to conduct the last phase of Lok Sabha elections. That’s when this accident happened. The service pistol and 25 bullets of the deceased ASI have been recovered from the spot, which have been seized by the RPF.
Satyendra Singh’s family consists of his wife Pinky Devi, a son and a daughter. After receiving the news of the incident, everyone is crying inconsolably. After postmortem at Sadar Hospital, the body was handed over to the family as per legal procedures.
