In Purnia, a husband and wife were crushed by a speeding Bolero vehicle, due to which the husband died on the spot. The wife died on the way while being taken to Purnia GMCH for treatment. The family members are inconsolable after the incident. The police took the dead body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The incident took place at Bhawaninagar Chowk under Bossi police station area of Araria district. The deceased have been identified as Joganand Singh (50 years) and his wife Kari Devi (45 years), residents of Bhawani Nagar under Bossi police station area.

Husband died on the spot
Regarding the incident, the deceased’s sister-in-law Kaushalya Devi said that both the husband and wife were walking to the Baroda Bank located at a short distance from the house. Then a speeding Bolero car crushed both of them, due to which Yognand Singh died on the spot. Whereas Joganand Singh’s wife was seriously injured. The local people hurriedly took them to Purnia GMCH for treatment, but she also died on the way. The doctor of Purnia GMCH declared them dead after examination. After the incident, the family members are crying inconsolably in Purnia GMCH. The Haat police station said that the husband and wife died in a road accident. The bodies of both have been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
