In Pupri of Sitamarhi, a crazy husband strangled his wife to death. The incident took place in Bedoul Goat of Pupri police station area. The deceased has been identified as Rekha Devi, wife of Rajkumar, resident of Bedoul village. Villagers say that Rekha Devi was Rajkumar’s second wife. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigating.

First strangled to death, then set on fire

Giving information about the incident, the villagers said that the first wife of the accused Rajkumar had died suddenly. He also has three children. Later Rajkumar married Rekha Devi. People around say that Rajkumar often used to beat his wife over some issue or the other. The same thing happened today as well. There was a dispute between the two over something and in anger Rajkumar strangled Rekha Devi to death. Rajkumar did not stop even after this and then he tried to burn his dead wife by setting her on fire. But by then people from the surrounding area started gathering there. Seeing the people gathering, he fled from there.

Police is searching for the absconding accused husband

The eyewitness of this incident, deceased Rekha Devi’s 5 year old daughter Varsha told that her father Rajkumar first killed her mother by strangling her and then set her on fire. The people living nearby informed the police about the incident. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police reached the spot and sent the body to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for postmortem. At present, the accused Rajkumar is absconding, the police is searching for him. The body has been sent to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
