In Bettiah, armed criminals shot and killed the JDU block president cum former chief. The incident took place at Tamkuhwa Chowk in Dhanaha police station area of ​​​​Bagha police district. The deceased was JDU block president Vibhav Rai of Bhitha block. Regarding the incident, local people say that Vibhav Rai was getting a shave in a salon at Tamkuhwa Vijay Chowk. Suddenly several armed criminals entered the salon and shot him in the head, due to which he died on the spot. In a hurry, the local people took him to Dahwa CHC, where doctors declared him dead. Local people informed the police about the incident. As soon as the information of the incident was received, the local police reached the spot and started investigating.

Regarding the incident, the local people told that on Wednesday late evening, Vibhav Rai reached Tamkuhwa market in Scorpio. There he started getting his beard trimmed in the salon of a person named Vikas from the same village. Meanwhile, two criminals reached there on a bike and entered the salon. Before anyone could understand anything, the criminals shot him in the head and fled from the spot. As soon as the shot was fired, there was chaos there. In a hurry, the local people took Vibhav Rai to Dahwa CHC, where the doctors declared him dead.

Police engaged in investigation

Vibhav Rai was also the current PACS president of Khairwa Panchayat. On receiving information about the incident, Dhanaha police reached the spot and started investigating. Regarding the incident, Superintendent of Police Sushant Kumar Saroj said that a special team has been formed to identify and arrest the criminals. Every possible effort is being made to arrest the criminals involved in the incident. He said that the nearby CCTVs are also being scanned.
