A case of bloody conflict over distribution of temple donation money has come to light in Siwan, Bihar. Where a priest died. This case is from Mairwa police station area.

Regarding the incident, it is being told that on Saturday, in Hariram Brahma temple of Mairwa police station area, there was a division of money received as offerings between the priests. During this, a bloody conflict started. Soon, a priest started beating another priest in the temple premises. In this incident, one priest side beat up Sugriv Pandey of the other priest side and left him half dead. After the intervention of the people around, the matter was somehow calmed down. Then the injured Sugriv Pandey was admitted to Mairwa Referral Hospital. Where after first aid, the doctors referred him to Gorakhpur after seeing his critical condition.

After this, the injured Sugriv Pandey died on the way to Gorakhpur. After this, the angry family members started creating a ruckus by placing the body of the deceased priest in the temple premises. The deceased has been identified as Sugriv Pandey, a resident of Harnathpur village of Mairwa police station area, who was the priest of that temple. The police reached the spot on receiving the information and somehow pacified the people and calmed the matter.

There was a program of Brahma Baba’s birth anniversary in Brahma Baba’s temple in Mairwa on Saturday. Regarding this, Jagdish Pandey, son of the deceased priest, said that on that day the offering money was stolen. After this, my father told the name of the thief. After this, some priests attacked him and beat him so much that he died while being taken to the hospital.

Mairwa police station in-charge Pramod Shah said that at present the body of the deceased priest has been sent to Siwan for post-mortem. The case is being investigated on the basis of the application. At the same time, CCTV footage is also being examined.
