In Nawada, a young man could not bear the wait for his marriage and reached his future in-laws’ house two months before the scheduled date and was adamant on marrying the newlywed bride. The groom reached the bride’s house even before the wedding.

The police then called the families of both sides to the police station and talked to them. Later, after persuasion by the police, the families of both of them agreed to the marriage. In the presence of policemen and the bride and groom’s side, both of them got married in the Shiva temple built in the police station premises. Both of them became closer to each other inside the police station by garlanding each other with God as witness. The marriage took place in the police station campus on the initiative of the police station chief.

In this regard, the police station head said that the marriage of 21 year old Tripurari Kumar, son of Ram Chandra Mahato, resident of Kopin village of Meskaur block area and Suman Kumar, 19 year old daughter of Sukhdev Mahato, resident of Nimchak village of Meskaur, was fixed. The young man had reached his in-laws’ house two months before the marriage. Police Station Head Rupesh Kumar said that both the bride and groom were adults. For this reason, the marriage was done before the scheduled time with the consent of both of their families. On the initiative of the police, both their families participated in this marriage. At the same time, after the marriage, he took the bride and groom with him and went to his home in Kopin village. The police station incharge, family members from both sides and policemen of the police station attended this wedding which took place inside the police station.
