In Darbhanga, the police has busted a factory manufacturing foreign tetra pack liquor in the wrappers of a renowned company. Police have arrested a woman from the spot. 210 ready Officers Choice tetra packs, 400 empty wrappers, 400 stickers and sealing machine have been seized from the house of the accused. Taking advantage of the darkness from the spot, the remaining smugglers managed to escape. The matter is of Shahbazpur village of Sonki police station area. Police say that the woman is a liquor mafia.

Police say that information was received that the work of making fake foreign liquor was going on at the house of Nepali Sahni in Shahbazpur village. The police of Sonki police station, which reached the information, arrested Nepali Sahni’s wife Rita Devi during the raid. The woman was arrested because 210 ready Officers Choice tetra packs, 400 empty packs and a tetra pack sealing machine along with 400 stickers were seized from her house.

Sonki police station incharge Basant Kumar said that a tetra pack of 180 ml of red colored branded foreign liquor was prepared in the mini factory. Police have recovered a large number of tetra packs packed with foreign liquor and empty tetra packs kept for filling liquor from there. Apart from this, liquor making equipment like several levels of branded company, an electric sealer machine, a stabilizer and air fix used for mixing etc. have been seized. Before the police arrived, the smugglers had spilled the liquid kept in three-four buckets on the ground. It may have been prepared wine or spirit. Nepali Sahni’s wife Rita Devi was arrested from the spot. Many other smugglers ran away after seeing the police. Police recovered 210 tetra packs of liquor, 400 empty tetra packs, 400 stickers of a reputed company and 75 pieces of air fix from the mini factory. The police station incharge said that an FIR has been registered against seven other people in connection with the case.
