After being shot in the head, the family members hurriedly admitted the lab technician to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where after first aid, the doctors, seeing the situation as serious, referred him to Gorakhpur Medical College for better treatment.

The lab technician has been identified as Rajiv Kumar, son of Ramesh Yadav, resident of Balesara Road Bhagwanpur village of Uchkagaon police station area. It is said that on Monday morning, injured Rajeev Kumar had left his house to go to the lab center located in Mirganj Nagar. While they were on their way, criminals riding a bike ambushed them near Harkhauli village and fired indiscriminately, in which one bullet hit him in the head, due to which Rajiv Kumar fell unconscious on the spot.

Injured Rajiv was admitted to Sadar Hospital Gopalganj for treatment with the help of passersby, from where the doctor referred him to Gorakhpur in critical condition. The attackers left Rajiv thinking he was dead and fled while firing in the air. Here, as soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. According to the police, the reasons for the deadly attack are being investigated. Some people are being interrogated. Raids are going on in search of criminals.
