In Bihar, the court has issued notice to CO, revenue officer and revenue employee and sought their reply. The court has directed the DM to investigate and submit the correct documents on December 4. The matter pertains to re-establishment of land sold 44 years ago by wrongly preparing the documents.

The court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Sangeeta Rani of Benipur Sub-Divisional Court of Darbhanga district has issued notice to Benipur CO Ashwani Kumar, Revenue Officer Ashwani Kumar Rai and Revenue employee Sudhir Kumar and summoned their reply. In this case, the complainant had filed a case in the court on 12 November 2024. This matter was heard in the court, in which the court has directed the DM of the district to submit all the documents for investigation of the case on December 4.
Wrongful confiscation of land sold 44 years ago
Regarding this matter, the complainant in the case, Brijbihari Rai, a resident of Havidih of Bahedi police station area, had filed a criminal case in the court on November 12, 2024. The case was heard on 13 November. He has said in this matter that his father Late. Sitaram Rai had purchased two bighas and six katha land in the registry year 1980 and 1981, on which he has been farming for years. After father’s death, we three brothers sold some land as per our requirement. The land which has been sold is also in the possession of the people. Some people have even built houses on the said land and lived there for years. But the twist in this matter came when the grandsons of Ramyugal Singh and Sonjhari Devi, who sold the land to my father 44 years ago, made fake land documents from the office of the employee, RO and CO and by showing the wrong filing of all the said lands, they again got their names rejected. By organizing Jamabandi, the land revenue receipt has been obtained.
