A shocking case has come to light from Darbhanga in Bihar. Despite the law being made, people are not obeying it. The case of triple talaq has come to light again. A girl from Bangarhata of Godaboraam block of Darbhanga, who got married only two months ago, was given triple talaq by her husband over the phone. Now the victim girl has lodged an FIR regarding this in Ghanshyampur police station. Confirming the incident, Police Station Head Ajit Kumar Jha said that the woman has accused her husband along with her mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and sister-in-law.
The wedding took place only two months ago
In the FIR lodged, newlywed Nusrat Parveen said that two months ago she was married to Mohd., a resident of Sankherha of Bahedi police station area. It was married to Arif’s son Junaid as per Muslim rituals. After a few days of marriage, I started being harassed by my in-laws. She was continuously opposing this. While she was talking to her husband about this matter, during this time my husband Mohd. Junaid has given me divorce over the phone.
FIR lodged against in-laws
Now in this case, the woman has lodged an FIR in Ghanshyampur police station against her husband Mo Junaid, father-in-law Mo Arif, besides her mother-in-law, brother-in-law and her sister-in-law. In this regard, Ghanshyampur police station incharge Ajit Kumar Jha said that the victim woman has lodged an FIR against her husband and in-laws. The case is being investigated.
Just saying triple talaq does not result in divorce
In this regard, Shahi Imam of Darbhanga Masjid said that divorce does not happen just by saying triple talaq. There is a chance of starting a conversation in this process. There remains a scope for both the parties to rebuild the relationship. Under the current provisions of the Triple Talaq Bill, the husband can be sentenced to three years in prison. In such a situation the wife will not even get the expenses. Children and parents will all be ruined.
