An ambulance driver was murdered in Munger. His body has been recovered from Shikaripada in Jharkhand. The deceased was identified as Sohan Thakur alias Sonu Bhai (50), resident of Bindwara Navtolia, Qasim Bazar police station area of ââMunger. As soon as the body reached home late on Saturday night, there was chaos among the family members. The family members are in bad condition and crying. Family members allege that Sohanâs friends murdered him. The family appealed to the police for justice.

Family members say that Sohan Thakur alias Sonu Bhai was the driver of a government ambulance at Badhiya Hospital in Lakhisarai district. Came to his home Bindwara Navtolia on 18th December. Family members told that on Thursday afternoon of 19th December, Chetan Mishra and Sonu Mandal had come home in the afternoon. Both of them said that they have to go to Tarapeeth temple for worship. But Sohan Thakur refused. On repeated insistence by both his friends, Sohan agreed to go to Tarapeeth. After this, all three went to Tarapith in West Bengal in Sonu Mandalâs CNG auto. After this, the police of Kasim Bazar police station came to the house and informed that the body of Sohan Thakur was found in Shikaripada police station area of ââJharkhand. Police said that Sohan Thakur was murdered by slashing his entire face.
Sonu was released from jail in a case
Police said that Sonu Mandal and Chetan Mishra have been arrested by Jharkhand Police from Asarganj police station in Munger district on charges of murder of Sohan Thakur. Along with this, the police have also recovered the CNG tempo. Family members told that after the incident, Sonu Mandal had gone to his maternal grandmotherâs house in Asarganj with Chetan Mishra. Chetan Mishra is a resident of Shastri Nagar locality. Health worker is posted in Bhagalpur Mayagaj Hospital. Whereas Sonu Mandal was released from jail in a case a few months ago and works as a tempo driver.
There was a dispute between Sonu and Sohan
After the incident, Sohan Thakurâs daughter Supriya told that when she talked to her father on Friday afternoon, he asked whether the driving license paper had come home? I said yes he has come. Papa asked him to keep it safely. After some time, I called Papa several times but he did not pick up. After this the police came home and informed that his dead body had been found. Supriya said that six months ago there was a dispute between Sonu Mandal and father regarding driving. After this the matter ended and everyone kept coming to the house. The police have appealed to give strict punishment to both the accused.
