The special judge has taken action against Ranjit Singh under the Excise Act for the crime of drinking alcohol.
The swinging witness reached before the judge
In fact, in a case of Navgachia (Case 200/22), a young man was produced to testify. The said young man was under the influence of alcohol. The witness was called for a hearing before the Special Judge of the Excise Court. The witness stood up in the courtroom and his questioning began. During the interrogation, first there was suspicion after seeing the witness dancing under the influence and then to confirm that suspicion, the witness was asked the reason for dancing. Then the witness told that he had drank a little. He confessed that yes, I have come to testify in the court after drinking alcohol.
Investigation done in case of doubt
In this regard, Special Public Prosecutor Product Court-2 Bhola Mandal said that Ranjit Kumar Singh was present as a witness in a case of Navgachia, where the young man was found under the influence of alcohol. Seeing the drunk youth dancing, the special judge got the investigation done and it was confirmed that he was drinking alcohol. Breath analysis was done on the drunk youth, in which 82% alcohol was found and he was sent for medical examination. However, during interrogation, Ranjeet himself admitted to drinking alcohol. Then on the orders of the court, breath analyzer was done on Ranjit Kumar Singh, after which the judge took action and sent him to jail.
