During the budget session in Bihar Assembly, opposition MLAs raised questions over no change in the duty timings of teachers in government schools. After this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had assured the opposition that the duty timing of teachers will be changed from today itself. His duty timing will be from 10 am to 4 pm only. After the statement of CM Nitish Kumar, now Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak will have to change his order.

Know what CM Nitish said in the House

Nitish Kumar said that regarding the teachers, the education department had earlier made it from 9 o’clock to 5 o’clock. But, we have already said that there should not be duty from nine o’clock to five o’clock. We said that there should be duty from 10 am to 4 pm. The CM told the opposition MLAs that if this has not been accepted till now, then you people will say that he has not listened to you. If he has not heard yet, we will call him today itself and ask him to change the time. We also used to study in school, right?

If not then let’s get it implemented from today itself.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar clearly said that the timing of 9 o’clock to 5 o’clock is wrong. If the Education Department has not implemented it till now, then we will call him (Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department) today itself and get it corrected. Nitish Kumar told the opposition MLAs that you all should be rest assured that we too used to study in school and used to study only from 10 am to 4 pm. We have already said that it should be implemented again. If it is not done then let’s get it implemented from today itself. Let us tell you that the duty time of teachers was changed from 9 am to 5 pm. The teachers were strongly opposing this.
