45-year-old Madan Yadav was shot dead in a land dispute in Navtoliya village of Pattarghat police station area of Saharsa. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. The incident happened late Thursday night. According to the family members, Madan Yadav was having a land dispute with Ashok Yadav, Santosh Yadav and others of the same village. These people invited Madan by offering him fish and rice and killed him by shooting him with about half a dozen bullets.
The husband was killed in front of his wife
After the incident, an atmosphere of fear has been created in the village. Here, after the incident, the FSL team reached the spot and took stock of the incident. Headquarters DSP Dhirendra Pandey reached Sadar Hospital and took information about the incident from the family members. The family members told that the criminals shot Madan Yadav to death in front of his wife. The elder brother of the deceased Madan Yadav told that Madan was a farmer by profession. He told that Ashok Yadav and others called him for dinner as part of a conspiracy and on the way, with the help of criminals, surrounded him and shot him. When Madan suspected something untoward, he called his wife and told her. When his wife went there, she was stunned. She saw that the criminal had pointed a pistol at her. On seeing this, she caught hold of the criminal’s feet and pleaded to let him go, but the criminals removed his wife and shot him dead in front of her. About 10 bullets were fired one by one. The process of postmortem is being done in Sadar Hospital.
My wife had forbidden me from eating fish during the month of Saavan
The family members said that some people had taken the deceased Madan Yadav from his home by inviting him to eat fish and rice. Before this, Madan’s wife tried to avoid it by saying that he does not eat fish in the month of Saavan. She did not want to let Madan go. The wife says that if Madan had listened to her, he would have probably been alive today. The family members have accused Ashok Yadav, Ramkumar Yadav, Rakesh Yadav, Nitish Yadav, Sudhir Yadav, Santosh Yadav and others of murder. The police is conducting raids to arrest the accused.
