Police found a headless body
Police found a headless body in a bore in the canal. The body was cut into 6 pieces. The body could not be identified. The postmortem of the body was done and then the administration cremated the unidentified body. But the police was continuously engaged in its investigation. One day, the police suddenly got the information that Sita Kumari, the 19-year-old daughter of Virendra Sah, a resident of Chuhdi village of Chanpatia police station area, and her brother were both missing. This was a weak link for the police but for now the police took the investigation forward from here and brought Virendra Sah to the police station for questioning. The police asked some random questions which hit the target. Virendra Sah could not fool the police for long and the story he told was shocking.
The daughter was in love with the golgappa seller
Regarding the incident, the SDPO said that during interrogation of the deceased’s father Virendra, he told the police that he had fixed his daughter’s marriage. The marriage was to take place in November 2024. But Sita was in love with a young man (23) from Uttar Pradesh. The young man used to live on rent in Virendra’s brother’s house and sell golgappa in Chuhadi Bazaar.
Despite the persuasion of her family members, Sita was still adamant on marrying him. On 22nd July, her family members scolded her for this. After which, Sita went home and committed suicide by hanging herself.
Had struck a deal with the body cutter for eight and a half thousand rupees
The SDPO said that after the incident, Virendra called Prabhu Sah from his village to dispose of the body. Prabhu Sah told the police that he took the body to the canal located south of the village and cut it into 6 pieces with a sharp fish cutting weapon and then put it in a plastic bag and threw it in the canal. Apart from him, 6 to 7 people from Virendra’s family were involved in this work. After throwing the body in the canal, everyone went to their respective homes. Prabhu Sah lives in Gorakhpur and sells fruits. Earlier he used to live in the village and do fish business. Prabhu Sah told the police that Virendra had promised to give him 8 thousand 500 rupees in exchange for disposing of the body, in which 500 rupees were given in advance. The remaining amount was said to be given within a week.
