The ring dam built on the Gandak river has collapsed
The ring dam built on the Gandak river in Loknathpur of Sareya Panchayat of Motihari has been destroyed. Due to this, flood water has entered more than seven villages. Crops grown on hundreds of acres were submerged. People say that this bridge built under the MNREGA scheme could not withstand the pressure of water. Here, the district administration team is busy in relief work.

Dam collapsed near Nitish Nagar in West Champaran
The Pidi Ring Dam, connected to the Champaran embankment, extending from Bettiah to Chakhani village in West Champaran district, has collapsed near Nitish Nagar of Bairia. Due to this, flood water has entered about 30 villages including Ranha, Pakhanha, Malahi, Ghodaiya, Suryapur panchayats of the district. Villagers say that negligence was done in the work of repairing and strengthening the dam. This is why this has happened. Earlier too, warnings had been given about the weak condition of the dam. But steps were not taken on time. Here, after the dam collapse, the administration has immediately started relief and rescue work. Villagers are being asked to leave their homes and go to safe places. However, considering the seriousness of the incident, the administration has come into alert mode.

Three people including husband and wife missing
After the breach of the embankment of Kosi river in Bhubhaul village of Kiratpur block area of Darbhanga, now devastation has started. It is said that after the dam breach, three people including husband and wife have gone missing in Bhubhaul village. After the breach of the embankment on Tuesday night, the family members first thought that the three people might be living somewhere after saving their lives, but even after a lot of search, no trace of the three could be found. Among those missing, Bino Sah and his wife Saraswati Devi from Kanoon Tola of Bhubhaul are missing, while Rameshwar from Mushari Tola is said to be missing. The family members have appealed to the district administration and the government to search for them.
