The court has given relief to Subhash Yadav, brother of Rabri Devi, wife of Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Yadav and former Rajya Sabha MP. He was granted bail by the court of Special Judge Vinay Prakash Tiwari of MP MLA Court. Subhash Yadav got bail after being in jail for about 37 days. Actually, Subhash Yadav had filed a petition for bail in the lower court. But, his petition was rejected from here. After this, a bail petition was filed in the special court. From here Subhabh Yadav got bail.
Surrendered on 13 February
Actually, Subhash Yadav was absconding regarding previous cases. Earlier, advertisements had also been pasted by the police in his flat under Airport police station before its attachment and seizure. Even after this he did not surrender in the court. On February 13, Danapur police had arrived with heavy police force to confiscate the property of Subhash Yadav’s house. Keeping this in mind, Subhash Yadav had surrendered in the MP-MLA court of Patna on the same day i.e. on 13th February.
Had to go to jail because of these charges
According to the police, Subhash Yadav was jailed in a case of cheating, criminal breach of trust and extortion. It is alleged that the former MP had purchased seven kattha land in the name of his wife from Bhim Verma’s mother for Rs 96 lakh. Bhim alleged that from February 27, 2021, pressure is being put on him to return Rs 60 lakh. For not paying the money, Subhash Yadav had taken his mother and brother hostage in his house and threatened them with dire consequences if the money was not returned. After this the victim appealed for justice in the Janata Darbar of CM Nitish Kumar. After this, on the orders of CM, FIR was registered against Subhash Yadav and others.
