The vigilance department team suddenly raided the residence of land reform deputy collector (DCLR) Ram Ranjan Singh of Maharajganj subdivision of Siwan district on Tuesday night. This action has created a stir. The vigilance team that arrived from Patna has arrested DCLR Ram Ranjan Singh after the raid. His interrogation is still going on.
Arrested red handed taking bribe
It is being said that many important documents, some papers and a huge amount of cash have been recovered from the residence of DCLR. The people of the vigilance team did not give formal information, but it is being said that Ram Ranjan Singh had demanded bribe to resolve the dispute related to the land marked in a government project and the vigilance team has arrested him red handed while taking bribe. As soon as the news was received on Tuesday night that a vigilance raid has been conducted at the residence of DCLR, this information spread like fire till Siwan district headquarters. Hundreds of people were seen standing outside the residence of DCLR. It is being said that the vigilance department team has caught the DCLR red handed while taking a huge amount of bribe. The peon of DCLR is also being said to be present there. This residence is the private residence of DCLR, where the vigilance department has conducted a raid.
